About us

Our association, “Parents de la Section Anglophone de Buc” (PSAB) was created in 2003 to support the development of the “Section Internationale Anglophone de Buc” (SIAB).

We believe that this kind of education is an excellent opportunity for our children and we are doing our best to make it work.

This section was opened in 1998 with just 7 pupils at the Collège Martin Luther King. Later it was extended to the Lycée Franco-Allemand and in September 2008, a CM1/CM2 primary section opened in Buc (Louis Blériot) and Voisins-le-Bretonneux (40 Arpents). Today the section welcomes more than one hundred and fifty bilingual pupils coming from Buc, Versailles, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Vallée de Chevreuse, etc.

On May 23rd, 2009, PSAB organised the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the SIAB which was a big success. Everybody remembers Big Ten – The Show and Big Ten - The Movie!

The atmosphere in the international section is particularly enjoyable with every opportunity for hard work and high achievement. We were happy to celebrate the graduation of our second “Option Internationale du Baccalauréat” class in July 2009.

Together with a determined group of teachers and administrators, PSAB has contributed to:
• the opening of the section at the Lycée level in 2005;
• the official recognition of the section at the Collège by the Education Nationale in 2006;
• the launch of a primary program in 2008.

Members of the PSAB come from the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, India, Australia, South Africa, etc. …and France. This diversity is another asset for our children and for their parents too!
